Before joining SA Water, Chhoden worked as an Undergraduate Engineer and Work Experience Student at the same company. In these roles, she conducted dam inspections and surveillance to understand the condition of assets for dams and reservoirs owned by SA Water in South Australia. She provided engineering solutions and feedback regarding surveillance data to ensure that dams fulfilled the necessary requirements and guidelines, including but not limited to ANCOLD guidelines and legislative measures. Chhoden also updated Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and Dam Safety and Emergency Plans (DSEP) as per the current guidelines, with a critical evaluation of environmental and socio-economic impacts. Chhoden's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Adelaide. She is well-versed in the latest technologies and best practices in the field, with a focus on infrastructure planning and asset management.
